V BTS, soloist and member of the idol group BTS, has successfully topped the iTunes Top Song chart in 87 countries worldwide with his latest solo single “FRI(END)S” released on March 15.
According to Yonhap, BIGHIT MUSIC stated that V BTS’s solo single quickly rose to the top of the iTunes chart less than 24 hours after its release on Friday. “FRI(END)S” even managed to claim the top spot on the iTunes Top Song chart in 87 countries worldwide.
The single “FRI(END)S” also reached number 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Song and European iTunes Song charts at 8:00 am local time.
Released on Friday at 1:00 pm Korean time, this pop soul genre song is V BTS’s first solo project since his debut solo album “Layover” in September 2023.
The success of the song “FRI(END)S” continued with over 6.7 million views on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel for its music video. Most recently, the music video for “FRI(END)S” has surpassed 10 million views as of March 17, 2024.
The music video for “FRI(END)S” was released alongside the audio version of the song and quickly climbed to the top of the trending music video charts in various countries after its release.
“FRI(END)S” is an English-language song that depicts one’s confession of love to a friend.
