Minister of Defense and President-elect for the term 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, performed the Eid al-Adha 1445 H prayer at the Nurul Wathan Mosque in Hambalang, Bogor. He arrived at the mosque dressed in a white koko shirt and black peci, greeting the local residents before joining the prayer. After the prayer, he exchanged greetings and handshakes with the residents, who were excited to take photos with him.
Prabowo emphasized the importance of sacrifice and the distribution of meat to those in need on Eid al-Adha. He personally sacrificed 145 cows, distributing them to ulama, habaib, Islamic organizations, schools, and Mosque councils. In Hambalang, 38 cows were given to the local community, while at the Gerindra Party headquarters, 20 cows and 5 goats were distributed.
