Bogor — Yohanes, the father of graduate Rosalia Virginia Linda from the “Ben Mboi” Polytechnic of the Defense University (Unhan RI) in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, expressed his deep gratitude to Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, for sponsoring his trip to Jakarta to attend his daughter’s graduation on Saturday, August 24.
During the graduation ceremony, Prabowo personally met with the parents of the graduates and asked Yohanes whether Rosalia was his daughter or son. Yohanes took the opportunity to thank Prabowo for the free education provided at Unhan RI, a program that was initiated by the Defense Minister himself.
Yohanes expressed, “Thank you to Mr. Prabowo for establishing educational opportunities at Unhan and for covering the expenses for us to attend our child’s graduation in Jakarta. Once again, thank you to Mr. Prabowo. Long live the defense of the nation.”
On that day, Unhan held a graduation ceremony for 425 students, offering 12 undergraduate (S1) programs and 7 diploma (D3) programs with a focus on developing competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). (RR)
