The latest survey conducted by Indonesian Political Indicator revealed that 63.4 percent of the public do not agree with the annulment of the nomination of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as participants in the 2024 election. Additionally, 68.6 percent of the respondents disagree with the idea of holding a re-election without the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair.
During a press briefing on Sunday, Director of Indonesian Political Indicator, Burhanudin Muhtadi, mentioned that nearly 69 percent completely disagree with the decision. The survey also showed that 47.8 percent of the public are informed about the General Election Commission’s decision on the 2024 election results, with 73.8 percent expressing trust in that decision.
Regarding the ongoing proceedings of the 2024 presidential election result dispute at the Constitutional Court, 52.6 percent of the respondents are aware of the situation. Additionally, 71.8 percent of the majority believe that the Constitutional Court will issue a fair decision on the dispute.
The survey, conducted on April 4-5, 2024, involved 1,201 respondents using the random digit dialing method. The target population included Indonesian citizens aged 17 and above or those who are married and own a telephone/cellphone, representing about 83% of the national population. The margin of error for the survey is estimated at ±2.9% at a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling. Interviews were conducted by telephone by trained interviewers.
