Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, is ensuring that the program providing free nutritious meals to school children is implemented efficiently without any leakage. In an exclusive interview with tvOne titled “Prabowo Subianto Speaks for Indonesia,” he discussed how this will be achieved.
Prabowo mentioned that the budget for the nutritious meal program has been calculated and he is confident in its realization. He emphasized the importance of the scheme and system to ensure the accurate distribution of meals to children, rather than focusing on the organizational structure.
Efforts are being made to prevent any leaks in the program’s implementation during Prabowo’s administration. The distribution of free milk to children will be tailored to the typology of each region. For example, in Southwest Maluku, Moa Island, where buffalo milk is abundant, milk production will be accessible to children in that region.
In regions where obtaining milk sources is challenging, the focus will shift to the equitable distribution of other nutritious foods, such as fish and eggs. Prabowo highlighted the flexibility in distributing nutritious food and free milk according to each region’s typology.
The goal is to ensure that all children in Indonesia receive nutritious food, adapting plans to the diverse geographical and economic conditions across the nation. Prabowo’s priority is to guarantee that children have access to the necessary nutrition, regardless of the region they reside in.
