Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia’s Minister of Defense and President-Elect for 2024-2029, expressed his optimism about the progress of the Nusantara Capital project. He stated that the atmosphere and condition of the capital were very promising and that he believed in completing it as soon as possible.
After attending a Cabinet Meeting led by President Joko Widodo in the Nusantara Capital, East Kalimantan, Prabowo commented on the positive development of the project. He emphasized the need to accelerate the development process, with the possibility of the capital being fully operational within 4-5 years through collaboration with experts.
Prabowo, who will assume the presidency in 2024, reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the Nusantara Capital project in line with President Jokowi’s vision. He acknowledged Jokowi’s role as the initiator of the project and expressed his determination to continue and potentially complete it during his presidency.
