Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect of Indonesia for the term 2024-2029, wasted no time getting back to work just a week after undergoing surgery for a leg injury. He made an appearance at the 78th anniversary of Bhayangkara event at Monas, Jakarta, on Monday (July 1), alongside President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and other dignitaries. Dressed in a gray suit, Prabowo received a warm welcome from Jokowi and the attendees.
On his personal Instagram account, Prabowo shared the news of a successful surgery on Sunday (June 30) and expressed his readiness to serve the country with renewed health. The injury stemmed from past parachuting incidents during his time in the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces).
Prabowo credited his recovery to the medical team at the National Defense Central Hospital in South Jakarta and acknowledged the risks involved in the procedure. He also thanked Allah SWT for his well-being and appreciated the support and prayers from President Jokowi.
