Rais Aam of PBNU, K.H. Miftachul Akhyar, prayed for the success of the newly elected president for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, as he begins his challenging role. During the PBNU halal bihalal event in Jakarta, Miftachul Akhyar urged everyone to pray for Prabowo’s successful leadership and quoted Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal Rahimahullah on the importance of having a just leader.
He expressed his hopes for Prabowo to lead justly and bring blessings to the nation over the next five years. Miftachul Akhyar also shared his gratitude for Prabowo’s election, noting their long acquaintance since Prabowo’s time as a manager at PBNU East Jakarta.
Miftachul Akhyar acknowledged Prabowo’s commitment to seeking guidance from the NU, mentioning a past visit to Hambalang where Prabowo instructed Gerindra members to seek guidance from PBNU. He praised Gerindra’s connection to NU and their ongoing commitment to seeking guidance from PBNU.
Deputy Rais Aam of PBNU, K.H. Anwar Iskandar, also joined in praying for the newly elected president and vice-president, Prabowo-Gibran, wishing them health, safety, success, and blessings in their leadership of the country.
